EUTHANASIA

In certain cases, humanely taking a pet’s life is regarded as the best option by those most concerned for the animal’s welfare. Our policy is not to initiate discussions of euthanasia unless we feel that a pet’s condition is hopeless, or that pain and suffering are likely to be permanent. We realize that an owner may reach this decision on their own. Please feel free to bring up the subject of euthanasia if you have any questions about it or if you are considering it for your own pet. We want to help you make the choice that is right for you and your situation. In all cases, the pet owner should make the final decision.

  3. Will my pet experience mental stress related to the illness or treatments?
  4. Will my pet require forced feedings to survive?
  5. Will my pet still enjoy their surroundings?
  6. Are there other underlying medical conditions that will negatively impact my pet?
